Inaugural Bash @ the Big Kahuna Vietnamese Restaurant

President-Elect Barack Obama (photo)

The inaugural bash will take place Tuesday evening, January 20th, starting at 7:30 p,m. at the Big Kahuna Vietnamese Restaurant. Owner Thinh Mai invites you to come on out to his place to celebrate the most wonderful victory we progressives/environmentalists have had in a long, long time: The election of Barack Obama as our president!

The party will take place at 741 West Ashby, corner Flores, across the street from San Pedro Park. There is no admission charge but you will be able to order a delicious variety of Vietnamese appetizers and other dishes if you want. There is plenty of nearby free parking. Thinh will have speakers on environmental issues, a literature table, and a big screen for viewing inaugural events in Washington, D.C.

Other inaugural events will take place that evening in San Antonio, but they will be at a higher cost and in some cases are a little remote. This event is your low-cost, close-by option, and it's a great way to mingle with people of like minds who really want to celebrate!

You can RSVP by going to MoveOn.org and finding this event (listed as being at Ashby and Flores) or by calling Thinh at 733-8473. There's room for 100 people, so don't delay. And please copy this email and send it out to your friends and associates. The more the merrier! Thanks, and I hope to see you there!
