2009 Hall of Fame & Outstanding Leaders in Education
The Catholic Schools Office presents the 2009 Hall of Fame and Outstanding Leaders in Education Dinner
The Office of Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of San Antonio will present the 2009 Hall of Fame and Outstanding Leaders in Catholic Education at 7 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 31st at the Omni Hotel at the Colonnade.
This year’s coveted Hall of Fame Award will be presented to David & Toni Warmund, of DW Electric Co., who are faithful long-time volunteers of Notre Dame Catholic School in Kerrville, Texas.
The sold-out event this year will honor Jack & Rosina Brinkman, volunteers at Mount Sacred Heart School; Mary I. Crow, Principal at St. Cecilia Catholic School; Mary Ann de la Garza, a music teacher at Incarnate Word High School; Sr. Mary Angelee Kowalik, CSSF and Counselor at St. Cecilia and St. Margaret Mary Catholic Schools; and Rev. Joseph A. Tarrillion, S.M., and President Emeritus of Central Catholic High School.
This week marked Catholic Schools Week for Catholic schools across the nation and this event is a culmination of the week, where it is tradition to celebrate students, parents, teachers, faculty, and alumni of Catholic Schools.
The spirit of these recipients is present in their everyday commitment to their schools, the community, and in their personal lives, as every single one of them has gone above and beyond their call of duty to serve.
This year’s diverse group of honorees have assisted their schools in everything from volunteering their electrical technical experience to taking groups of children to sing at the White House, but and have made their respective communities better for the children they serve.
