"Hang'em High in the Selma Sky" final run, 15th anniversary

As the Sun sets on the night shows at the Steven Stoli Playhouse, the sun rises one final time in hang’em high in the Selma sky! A madcap, politically incorrect western comedy set in Selma, Texas in 1883.

It has its 15th anniversary run. The longest running comedy western murder mystery in San Antonio history opened the playhouse night times shows in 1994. Now it will close it.

Back for a final run, “Hang ‘Em High in the Selma Sky!” features 5 of the cast members of the original Stoli Players in “that lil’ ol’ western play about Selma, Texas.” Originally produced, written and directed by Steven Stoli, this comedy relives the “glory days” of Selma, Texas in the 1880’s.

Originally scheduled for a 12 week run in May of 1993, the show finally closed after 63 weeks with 50 consecutive sold out weekends. This will be the fifteenth anniversary showing and also its final showing. The 2007-2008 season is the final season for the night time shows at The Steven Stoli Playhouse.

Steven Stoli says “it will be like losing my two best friends. The Playhouse and Hang’em High have been very, very good to us, many, many great memories…”
