Community Talk features San Antonio civic activists Patti Radle (photo) and Nettie Hinton

The public is invited to participate this Sunday, July 26th @t 4:30 p.m. in another installment of our popular community conversations

Gemini Ink, San Antonio’s only independent literary arts center, will host a Community Talk at 4:30 pm, Sunday, July 26, at Gemini Ink’s colorful Southtown office, located on 513 S. Presa.

Gemini Ink’s Community Talks bring together diverse residents of our beloved city for conversation that explores issues affecting our entire community. Our next talk focuses on President Obama’s charge to live in “a new era of responsibility.”

The open discussion will be led by former civic leader & fformer City Councilwoman Patti Radle along with 4th generation San Antonian and neighborhood activist Nettie Hinton.

“We love hosting these informal discussions because we find people are starved to talk with one another about their interests and concerns,” said Rosemary Catacalos, executive director. “We keep hearing folks talk about President Obama’s call for ‘a new era of responsibility,’ and we wanted to explore what that means and how we might both praise and live up to our responsibilities.”

The public is invited to join us for this free event. This Community Talk is part of Gemini Ink’s Summer Festival, featuring workshops, readings, performances, and other literary events on the subject of “praise.”
