This past weekend, Michael Williams stood before the State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) and signed his name on the bottom line, pledging to protect taxpayers when he represents Texas in the United States Senate.

The pledge is offered by Americans for Tax Reform, led by Grover Norquist.

By taking this pledge, Williams promises to oppose any increases to the marginal income tax rate for individuals and businesses and any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by a further reduction of tax rates.
