"Dining with Democrats" @ Ft. Sam Golf Club, April 3rd
"Dining with Democrats," (photo from last year) Friday, April 3rd from 6 p.m.-10 a.m. @ the Fort Sam Houston Golf Club.
We are observing our 15th anniversary in conjunction with our annual Dining with Democrats fundraiser. The club’s founders and charter members established the organization in 1994 in the wake of the wave of Republican victories in statewide elections.
Since then NEBCD has worked to inform, educate, organize, and mobilize Democrats in northeast Bexar County to get Democratic candidates elected to office at all levels. This year Dining with Democrats includes a reception, silent and live auctions, a live, encore performance of “Ben Franklin & Friends Return to The Constitution, With the Green Mountain Volunteers,” and a media tribute to 15 years of NEBCD and Bexar County politics.
We are inviting Democratic candidates and elected officials to act as servers for our dessert. It should be a fun-filled occasion as we celebrate in the early days of a new Democratic administration in the White House.
Our keynote speaker will be Texas State Senator Leticia Van de Putte, representing the 26th District. Senator Van de Putte is a former President of the National Conference of State Legislatures 2006-2007, and served as a co-chair of the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
Join us at the Fort Sam Houston Golf Club, 1050 Harry Wurzbach Rd. Dinner is a reasonable $40 per person, or $75 per couple. Tables are available for groups, one table for eight is $400, with official recognition of your donation.
Checks payable to NEBCD should be sent to our Treasurer, Bob Miller, 14215 Jones Maltsberger Rd, San Antonio, TX 78247. Don’t forget to indicate your meal choice. You can even acquire your tickets online. Just go to www.nebcd.org and follow the steps to make your donation and specify your meal selections.
