6th Annual Small, Minority and Women Business Owners Conference
(One of the Largest Outreach Efforts Ever to Take Place)

The City of San Antonio & Bexar County will host the 6th Annual Small, Minority and Women Business Owners Conference, Friday, December 8, 2006 from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Exhibit Hall B, 200 E. Market.

A large crowd is expected for the daylong event that will offer a variety of free workshops conducted by experts to assist local businesses succeed.

Workshops include:

How to do business with local, state and federal agencies
How to do business with the private sector
Accessing Capital, Bids and Bid Packaging
How to Start/Expand/Save/Manage a Business
E-commerce/E-procurement
Human Resources

Luncheon speakers include Mayor Phil Hardberger, County Judge Nelson W. Wolff, Congressman Charles Gonzalez, and Mr. Joseph Montes, SBA Regional Administrator.

The Networking Breakfast/ Public Forum will feature a presentation on the Economic Opportunities at Ft. Sam Houston. Other speakers will include the Dept. of the Interior, Army Corps of Engineers, Homeland Security, Dept. of Energy, Defense Logistic Agency, and Dept. of Transportation.
