Concerned taxpayer:
The City Council will vote for an ordinance to double council terms this Thursday. The ordinance will be on the November ballot.
If you would like to speak against doubling terms or assign your time to another speaker, you must sign-up at the Council Chambers before 9:00 AM Thursday.
Sign-up for agenda item is #5.
In my opinion, the council vote will be held Thursday morning to limit participation by ordinary citizens who will be at work.
As a result, most speakers will be paid representatives of special interest groups who support longer terms unless we fight back.
Please send me an email if you can attend this important meeting or call 690-1660.
Thanks,
Bob Martin
