A school tax increase News Conference will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Ocotber 7th at the Bexar Appraisal District headquarters, 411 N. Frio (corner of N. Frio & Martin St.)

San Antonio citizens pay the fourth highest local taxes in the nation according to a 2004 study by the Independent Budget Office. Since then, our taxes and fees have skyrocketed.
November 6th, the San Antonio Independent School District along with four other districts will ask voters to increase their property tax rate by 13.5 percent.
How will this school tax grab, appraisal increases, and the new gross receipts tax impact citizens?
What happened to the “property tax relief” approved by our legislature?
