The Local Communications Workers of America (CWA) marched eight blocks from their headquarters on N. St. Mary's Street at McCullough, to the ATT&T Headquarters to protest cuts in medical benefits to workers. Workers from six states bussed in fellow CWA workers to participate in the protest. It is estimated that nearly 1,000 marchers participated.

Other union members from the Firefighters, American Federation of Teachers and retired union members also marched in solidarity.
