2007 will be an important political year for all Americans and especially Republicans as a new Democrat-led Congress unfolds and as we prepare for the General Election in November 2008. While November 2008 seems so far away, Congressional District 23 Republicans will choose their nominee in March of 2008 --- only a few short months away.
In a rapidly changing world with new challenges from global competition, and new pressures on domestic public policy, we must implement programs that will ensure America's leadership, safety, and prosperity. To that end The Jim McGrody for Congress Campaign is pleased to announce its 15 public policy commitments that candidate Jim McGrody will promote as your elected Congressional Representative.

1. School accountability and school choice
2. Energy independence
3. Choices in health care built on free market principles
4. The personalization of retirement savings
5. Ending illegal immigration and securing our borders
6. Pro-growth, job-creating tax policies
7. A free-market approach to wages and prices
8. Personal responsibility and family values
9. Equal opportunities for a good education and a good job
10. An offensive posture in the war against terrorism
11. Open markets that foster free and fair international trade
12. Fiscal discipline and work to reduce wasteful spending in Congress
13. Ethics and openness in government
14. Improved benefits for our military veterans
15. Farm policies that expand open markets and provide for commonsense price supports.
