Larry Romo for Bexar County District Clerk
Lawrence “Larry” Romo served 28 years in the Air Force in active duty and the reserves, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. His most recent job was as director of the United States Selective Service in the Obama administration. He served in that post for seven years and returned to San Antonio in 2016.
An Air Force Academy graduate, Romo gained extensive experience working with large staffs and multimillion-dollar budgets while in Washington D.C. He has never worked in county government, but has a list of areas he would like to improve based on conversations with those who interact with the office regular
