Welcome to the Reed Williams Campaign -- Kick Off Reception on Tuesday, March 3rd
Greetings!
You are invited to a reception to kick off Reed Williams' campaign for City Council in District 8. Please join us at the Village in Oak Hills Clubhouse, 4334 Muirfield Street, San Antonio, Texas 78229 on Tuesday, March 3rd from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
San Antonio has experienced explosive growth and prosperity over the last few years. San Antonio has an excellent credit rating and reserves in the bank. This could change. Our nation is in the most severe recession since the Great Depression. San Antonio has not been as affected as many other areas of the country, but San Antonio is not immune to this recession.
As the San Antonio economy declines, the City budget will be under increasing pressure. Reed has managed large organizations through numerous depressed economic periods. He has the experience to make the right decisions to ensure that San Antonio emerges from this recession financially strong.
The next City Council will face numerous difficult challenges. The current drought should galvanize us all to secure a diversified and economical water supply for our City. The traffic that we endure every day is a tremendous motivation to develop an effective and responsible transportation system for San Antonio.
As San Antonio moves from providing low-cost electricity to producing competitive power from sustainable sources, we must work to maintain our electric power advantage while developing alternatives. Reed has the leadership to work with all the parties to find solutions to these and other difficult problems.
Serving on the City Council is a full time job. Reed has raised his family and completed a successful career over 33 years in three public companies. Now is the time for Reed to bring his knowledge and leadership to work for you as your City Councilman in District 8.
R.S.V.P. (by Monday, March 2nd) to Janelle McArthur at janellemac@aol.com
or 210.699.1925. We look forward to seeing you on March 3rd.
