Charles Butt to host fundraiser for State Rep. Juan Garcia

State Rep. Juan Garcia (photo)

We have joined together in writing to you today because we believe that a young leader has emerged who has the qualifications and talents to stand tall for South Texas’ future.

Juan Garcia is a freshman State Representative in Corpus Christi who has demonstrated, not only in the halls of the Texas Capitol, but also throughout his career, that he values those American ideals that make our country great.

We are confident that your support of Juan is an investment in a South Texas leader who will work for consensus to improve this region and our state. We invite you to join us in supporting him on the 15th:

Reception for Juan Garcia
Home of Charles Butt, 335 King William
Wednesday, October 15th @5:30 p.m.

A second-generation naval aviator from Robstown, Juan graduated with honors from UCLA, Harvard Law School, and Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government. Instead of capitalizing on this education with a lucrative Wall Street job, Juan joined the United States Navy as a patrol pilot, flying 30 armed missions in the Persian Gulf and serving in Operation Allied Force in Kosovo.

In 1999, Garcia was one of 16 Americans selected to serve as a White House Fellow. Today Juan is a civil defense lawyer in Corpus Christi and Commander of a Naval Reserve Squadron. His wife Denise, also a Harvard Law graduate, is the General Counsel at the children's hospital in Corpus. They have four small children.

We see in Juan a strong representative who will provide much needed leadership for our region.

We hope to see you on the 15th!

Sincerely,

Charles Butt
