Experiencing Music and Art Together 4-part Concert Showcase of San Antonio Artists performed, Sunday, April 6th @ the Norris Conference Center @ Crossroads Mall.

The event featured a unique concert of solo and ensemble piano music performed by up to 20 people at a time, with ages ranging from first grade through adult.

Mark Camann said "this concert is unusual because more than a hundred paintings, including works by San Antonio's top artists, were presented on a projection screen while the music was being performed."

The music represented a wide variety of styles and moods, from sentimental to passionate to grandiose. Some artists offered their paintings for sale. The concert was hosted by the L.G.S.M. Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides assistance to children with disabilities in their study of music and the arts.

The L.G.S.M. Foundation, Inc., is named in memory of Lillian Gertrude Sims McRitchie, who taught a child with disabilities for eleven years at no charge, inspiring her to become a concert artist.
