Gubernatorial candidate Chris Bell dropped in to the headquarters of state rep. 118 candidate Joe Farias, Tuesday, September 5th to visit with Farias and his volunteers on his way through town.

Later, Bell made his way to the CWA Hall for the monthly meeting of the Bexar County precinct chairs. At both whistle stops, Bell shook hands, asked questions and told listeners that he was moving up in the polls against the current Governor.

"By election day we will overtake the Governor," Bell was quoted as saying. Recent polls have put Bell only 11 points behind the Governor and well ahead of the two independent candidates, Carole Strayhorn and Kinky Friedman.
