Institute of Texan Cultures hosts Arts Night in San Antonio, 3-13

Saturday, March 13th from 6-8 p.m. @ the Institute of Texan Cultures, 801 E. Durango Blvd.


The Institute of Texan Cultures is participating in the annual Luminaria: Arts Night in San Antonio, Saturday, March 13th. Activities at the ITC are 6 to 8 p.m. ITC is hosting: Dance by S.T. Shimi – Hip-hop style with workshops at 4, 4:30, 5 and 5:30 p.m.

Theater by Rodney Garza – Hosting a theater game called “Save the Planet.” Interactive and done with small groups, guests can join in as they arrive. Paper Masks by Laurel Bodinus. Masks on a stick with various paper shapes and paints.Watercolor by Annele Spector.

She will teach a technique called “watercolor resist,” where participants paint a scene using crayons and watercolor. Fortune Cookies by Cros. He will help people create hand-made fortune cookies with special fortunes inside.

Corn Shuck Dolls by Cheryl Alexander. She will lead guests in creating traditional Appalachian Dolls. Each participant will be able to take one home.
