Sen. Hutchison to Award Purple Heart to Soldier at BAMC, Aug. 7San Antonio—U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R–TX) will present a Purple Heart medal to a wounded soldier at the Center for the Intrepid near Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio at 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7.

Who: U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, Brig. Gen. James K. Gillman, BAMC Commander
What: Presentation of Purple Heart medal to a wounded soldier
When: Tuesday, August 7, 9:50 a.m.
Where: Brooke Army Medical Center, Center for the Intrepid, 3951 Roger Brooke Dr.

*Note: Media must be escorted to the Center for the Intrepid for the ceremony. Media interested in covering this event should arrive at the BAMC Gate off I-35 at 9 a.m.. Media vehicles, when entering the gate area, must remain in the far right lane and make the first right hand turn available before the main security checkpoint. This is the area reserved for media reception.
