City Council is ceremoniously sworn into office

The official ceremony to swear in the current City Council was held in Council chambers, Saturday, June 23rd. Each council member was allowed to thank their supporters, families and friends and talk abou their vision for the City. Many of them thanked God first and foremost for allowing them to serve on the Council and Councilman Wolff even quoted scripture.

Councilmembers Kevin Wolff, John Clamp & Justin Rodriguez were effusive in their praise for their spouses and children and extended family members who served as babysitters and caretakers while they blockwalked the streets of their districts.

Councilwoman Diane Cibrian received a standing ovation from many in the audience when she spoke about her family and those who served in the military and in service to the community.

Mayor Phil Hardberger's 90-year-old mother also received a standing ovation from the crowd.
