Charlie Jones to declare intent to run for the 19th Senatorial District

Charles Urbina Jones, San Antonio attorney, Viet Nam Veteran, and Democratic Party Activist has announced his candidacy for Texas State Senate District 19.

Jones graduated with a degree in Geology from Texas A & M University and earned his juris prudence at Texas Southern University. 

For over 30 years Jones has practiced law in San Antonio. He also served as a Captain with the 101st Airborne Division in Phu Bai Viet Nam.

Jones served on a committee of the Democratic Party, and also served as President of the Texas Democratic Veterans Association. Jones is a proud member of the American Legion Alamo Post 2 and Veterans of Foreign Wars. (VFW Post 76)   

Jones in declaring his candidacy pledges to continue to be a fiscal conservative but a progressive on social issues. 

  

 "I offer my years of experience tirelessly working for Texas families, Veterans, individual rights, and educational opportunity for all our citizens."

Jones supports continued funding of the Hazelwood Legacy Act, Equalized Funding of public Schools and Universities, increased funding for crime prevention, protection of the environment, and of job creation and training, re-invention, and protection of the environment.
