JP2 Pl. 1, Steve Walker files for re-election @ Hqs. 11-28

Justice of the Peace Pct. 2, Place 1 Steve Walker filed for a second term @ the Bexar County Democratic Party Headquarters on Ninth Street, Monday, November 28th.

Walker, a retired teacher, Vietnam Veteran, & Columnist for La Prensa of San Antonio for the past 10 months ("Ask the Judge") says he will continue to address the problem of truancy and dropouts in his court.

Currently he assesses truant students tutoring in lieu of community service which he says is a better alternative to redirecting students back to the classroom.

A former journalist and news reporter, Walker is the Publisher/Editor of the Walker Report which has surpassed one million 54 thousand hits on his photoblog "Shedding Light on Bexar County," and "Covering the Pulse of San Antonio."
