County Court # 12 candidate

"I am running for County Court at Law 12 because I want to put my legal experience and knowledge of the law to work for the citizens of Bexar County and bring common-sense conservative values to the many problems encountered on a daily basis in that courtroom."

Scott is a native of Fort Worth, Texas. His father, Johnny Roberts, was a small business man and his mother, Naila, a homemaker.

He graduated from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos in 1984 and subsequently taught high school government and history in Pleasanton, Texas. In 1989 he earned a Juris Doctorate from St. Mary's Law School where he served as Executive Editor of the St. Mary's Law Journal. Scott began his legal career as a Briefing Attorney at the Supreme Court of Texas from 1989 - 1990.

Later he served as a Briefing Attorney at the Fourth Court of Appeals for Justice Phil Hardberger. He practiced personal injury law at a civil law firm for several years and ran his own law practice for two years where he specialized in civil appeals. In 1998, he joined the Bexar County District Attorney's Office where he proudly served under both District Attorneys Steve Hilbig and Susan Reed.
