What do you mean let's do it again? Why would the Mayor swear you in? Isn't the position you're running for financed by the county? So why wouldn't Judge Wolff or one of the (real) countywide judges swear you in?

Mayor Hardberger swore me in when I was a Councilman in Balcones Heights two weeks before he became Mayor of San Antonio. He is a retired Chief Justice of the 4th Court of Appeals. He still carries the title "Judge." Financing has nothing to do with it. Judges that are sworn in sometimes pick personal friends, many of them who have retired from the bench.
That is why I said, "let's do it again."
