Numerous dignitaries, elected officials and Cesar Chavez supporters gathered at La Villita Assembly Hall to honor Cesar Chavez Educational Foundation scholarship winners, Friday, March 30th.

Supporters of the Cesar E. Chavez awards dinner turned out in droves, Friday night at La Villita to hear Rita Chavez-Medina, sister of Cesar Chavez speak along to the crowd along with the Mayor and other diginitaries.

Antonian High School debate draws good crowd

Besides contestants and judges, parents, fellow students and the general public turned out to see high school kids debate the issue of a constitutional amendment to allow foreign born Americans the opportunity to run for president.

Antonian H.S. debate attracts elected officials

Elected officials turned out for a high school debate at Antonian High School on West Avenue, Friday, March 30th. Some elected officials judged the competition while others helped present the awards during the short ceremony at the end.
Students debated whether there should be a constitutional amendment to allow a foreign born naturalized citizen to run for president.
