A New Year's Greeting from Choco Gonzalez Meza

Choco Gonzalez Meza (photo)

The 365 days of 2008 are gone and much has happened this past year. Families have welcome new additions to their families while others have lost loved ones. Many are starting their first new job while thousands have lost theirs and others are feeling unstable.

Political progress was definitely in the air in 2008 when a woman ran a 50 state campaign in her quest to be President of the United States. From that loss, came another victory. In less than three weeks a pride filled historic benchmark will take place in this country when President-Elect Barack Obama, our first African American, will take the oath for the Presidency of the United States.

Millions and millions of us are filled with Hope with his message of much needed Change. Our support for him and his new administration will be critical to turning this country around. The economy will be a challenge for all of us; we will have to act courageously and be prudent in our decisions without loosing our compassion and sense of respect for each other and our communities.

I personally wanted to wish you a Happy New Year and may 2009 be filled with positive changes, good health, abundant love, and a year of wonderful memories of you with all your loved ones. Be safe, be merry, and thank you for your friendship.

Hundreds of kids show up on the Walker Report consistently

L-R: Lots of local kids in Bexar County

Covering all kinds of family events throughout the year, the Walker Report photographs as many kids as possible since they are more charismatic, phototgenic, and easy to elicit the biggest and brightest smiles. If adults would only learn from the youth of Bexar County.
