Canseco Signs Pledge for Tea Party Principles
Francisco “Quico” Canseco, (photo) Republican candidate in the Texas 23rd congressional district, signed the Vote for America Pledge on Tuesday, September 21st. Onlookers included members of the San Antonio Tea Party, the Boerne Tea Party and the Fredericksburg Tea Party.
Canseco is challenging incumbent Congressman Ciro Rodriguez. Polling shows the candidates in a close race in a district that represents Eagle Pass, Del Rio, Pecos, Fort Stockton and portions of San Antonio and Boerne.
The Vote for America Pledge is based on key tea party principles: 1) fiscal responsibility 2) limited government 3) the rule of law 4) personal responsibility and 5) national sovereignty.
