Bar-B-Que and Back-to-School Supplies Slated For Grand Opening, Excellent Customer Service Every Day Thereafter(SAN ANTONIO) -- Saying that taxpayers and citizens deserve the highest standards of customer service from their state government, State Representative Roland Gutierrez today announced the grand opening of his House District 119 field office at Brooks City-Base on Saturday, with plenty of Bar-B-Que on hand for visitors and free back-to-school kits for the first 100 guests.
The grand opening is scheduled for:
10a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, August 23rd, 3319 Sidney Brooks, Building 510 Brooks City-Base. “We are offering fun food and school supplies on Day One, and excellent customer service on every day thereafter,” Gutierrez said. Gutierrez is a native of San Antonio and former city council member who was took his seat in the Texas House of Representatives office in May.

A 1989 graduate of Central Catholic High School, he earned his BA in political science from the University of Texas at San Antonio and his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law. He runs his own law firm in the city and is involved in the Elder Law Clinic, which provides free legal services to senior citizens.
He and his family live in the San José neighborhood, where they attend Mission San José and are active in a variety of community projects. Among Gutierrez’s legislative priorities are implementing comprehensive insurance reform, boosting state investment in higher education, and combating the epidemic of juvenile diabetes.
