Throngs of candidates and elected officials attend the AFL-CIO Labor Day breakfast

Scores of elected officals and candidates for the November election were a part of the three hundred who converged on the Granada Homes to celebrate the working family of Bexar County, Sunday September 3rd after a mass at San Fernado Cathederal.

They included: Congressman Charlie Gonzalez, Commissioner Tommy Adkisson, SA Council members Patti Radle, Delicia Herrera, Elena Guajardo & Balcones Heights Councilman Steve Walker.

Also attending the celebration included: Judges Martha Tanner, David Rodriguez, Karen Pozza, Monica Guerrero, Al Alonzo, Paul Canales, Barbara Nellermoe, Martha Tanner, Karen Pozza & District Clerk Margaret Montemayor.

State Reps. Mike Villarreal & Joquin Castro, Bexar County Democratic Party Chair Carla Vela and three of her deputy chairs; Diana Stallings, Rick Puente and Vincent Garcia, SDEC25 Committeewoman Zada True-Courage, along with Texas DemVets Chair Larry Romo were present.

Judicial candidates Milton Fagin, Peter Sakai, Gloria Saldana, Barbie Scharf-Zeldes, Ina Castillo and County Clerk candidate Tim Ybarra showed up.

State Rep. candidates Joe Farias and Larry Stallings rounded out the candidates who attended, along with Congressional District 23 candidates Albert Uresti, Ciro Rodriguez, & Congressional District 21 candidate John Courage & Texas Attorney General candidate David Van Os.
