AFL-CIO Central Labor Council (CLC) endorses Nirenberg 4 Mayor

At the San Antonio AFL-CIO Central Labor Council (CLC) meeting on Wednesday, May 22nd, the delegates voted to endorse Mayor Ron Nirenberg for re-election to a second term.  The vote received the required 2/3rds vote.  It was the largest CLC meeting in recent memory -- the hall was packed.

Attached is an invitation from over 60 labor activists who have signed on as Co-Hosts to the "Labor for Ron" House Meeting set for Friday, May 31st, from 7 - 10 pm.  Of course there will be good food and libations, and we hope you can join us as we activate our membership to turn out for our endorsed candidate.  We do ask that you RSVP and let us know how many are in your party so that we have sufficient food and beverage.  

To be absolutely clear, the "Labor for Ron" Committee is separate and apart from the Central Labor Council, but we are going in the same direction to re-elect our Mayor.  No union funds are being spent on this effort.  All food and beverage are being donated by individuals.  (If you want to donate some finger food, dessert, or beverage, include with your RSVP).

Be sure to wear your union shirts, hats, pins, etc.

It will be a great event, so make plans to attend.  Let's do what Labor does best -- Organize!
