Chavez Legacy & Ed.Foundation, Thanksgiving in the Barrio, 11-20

The Tradition Continues

THANKSGIVING IN THE BARRIO

The Cesar E. Chavez Legacy
& Educational Foundation

Over the years, The Cesar E. Chavez Legacy & Educational Foundation has celebrated “Thanksgiving in the Barrio" as a way to help families and children in need during the holiday season.  Our 8th annual event will take place in the heart of the Westside of San Antonio:

Lanier High School located
1514 W. Cesar E. Chavez Blvd.
Monday, November 20th
Noon to 3 p.m.

CECLEF provides turkeys and all the trimmings to families so they can take home and prepare for the Thanksgiving Holiday. This tradition was started by my father, the late Jaime P. Martinez, and we'd like your help in continuing this tradition that was near and dear to his heart. Last year we provided for 275 families. This year's goal is to provide for 500 families.

For us at CECLEF this is a time of the year we celebrate the holidays with the community, give thanks to the Lord for the many blessings, but it’s also an opportunity serve others as our founder did throughout his life.  In that spirit, we continue that mission to serve, so join as a volunteer or make a donation for a great cause.
