Since we met in San Antonio last April at Mi Tierra, great progress has been made organizing our San Antonio event honoring Secretary of State Alex Padilla of California at The St. Anthony Hotel on Thursday, September 28th. Both Julian Castro and Henry Cisneros have confirmed to participate. Also, General Angela Salinas, CEO of Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas, will present community partner remarks.

The list of Texas leaders who will be invited to the event now totals 497 names---the goal is 600. Once again, please assist us by: 1) showing-up, 2) sending us names to invite as soon as possible----invitation distribution will start in mid-August, and, 3) identifying sponsor prospects---our goal is to secure five VIP sponsors (5K each).

Sponsors include the Anheuser-Busch Foundation, Southwest Airlines, and GEICO. Courtesy of Waste Management --- every guest will receive a copy of Latino Leaders Speak: Personal Stories of Struggle and Triumph that shares 33 keynote addresses delivered at the Latino Leaders Luncheon Series.
