66-year-old Father Eddie Bernal, known to San Antonio Catholics and non-Catholics as well, has passed away from an apparent massive heart attack.

It is reported that  Father Eddie died at his residence  at St. Benedict's Church located at 4535 Lord Road. He also served at St. Matthews, St. Ann's, St. John Berchmans and St. Leo's Catholic churches at various times.
