Spring Shindig 2016 will benefit the Claudia Taylor (Lady Bird) Johnson Endowment, supporting the museum’s exhibits and archives. The museum highlights the years President Johnson spent as a college student at Texas State University in San Marcos and as a teacher in South Texas and how those experiences influenced his public career, especially in the areas of civil rights and education.

The endowment honors Lady Bird Johnson’s significant contributions to his political career and her own considerable national legacy.
