Fiesta Celebration of El Rey Fido for funds for SA Humane Society

It's that time of year again, and Fiesta is in the air!

Being the dog lover that I am, one of my favorite Fiesta celebrations is the crowning of El Rey Fido.

If you're unfamiliar with El Rey Fido, it's an official Fiesta event where dogs compete to raise money for the San Antonio Humane Society.

The dog who raises the most money wins and becomes a good will ambassador for the Humane Society in the coming year.

This year, I decided to run my big love, Scout, for the honor.  He'd make an awesome King and actually thinks he is one already.

The San Antonio Humane Society protects and improves the lives of dogs and cats by providing shelter, care, adoption, resources, spay/ neuter programs, and community education.

The no kill shelter has a 96% save rate.

W.R. Purche said, "Everyone thinks they have the best dog, and none of them is wrong."  In honor of our dogs, cats, and other furry friends, please join me in supporting the San Antonio Humane Society and my best dog, Scout, for Rey Fido.

Fundraising ends on Thursday, March 10th, at 6 p.m. and is just a click away:  https://www.firstgiving.com/humanesocietyspca/el-rey-fido-2016

So far, this year's participants have raised almost $15,000.00 combined.  The Humane Society's goal is $25,000.00.

Please help me support the good work being done by the San Antonio Humane Society by making a donation today.  Every kibble & bit counts!
