Walker Report is Back, 11-20, Susan Pamerleau files for Sheriff

Re-Elect Sheriff Susan Pamerleau
With Republican Party of Bexar County Chairman Robert Stovall
Bexar County Sheriff Susan Pamerleau filed for re-election recently at the Republican Party of Bexar County headquarters.

Surrounded by supporters, the Sheriff pledged to continue her work to protect every man, woman and child in Bexar County.

“I never forget who I work for, and that’s you, the people of Bexar County,” Sheriff Pamerleau said, “your safety is my first priority 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.”

The Sheriff said she has replaced a "good old boy system" with one based on merit and performance, bringing professionalism and accountability to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

Overseeing more than 1,800 deputies and employees, Pamerleau has used her experience as a 2-star general in the military and as an executive at USAA to improve performance across the board.

Pamerleau also said that to improve transparency and confidence with the public, she is in the process of equipping all deputies with body cameras and adding dashboard cameras to patrol cars.

The Sheriff also said the BCSO is using technology to improve identification of criminal suspects to reduce the time deputies spend on paperwork so deputies have more time to keep citizens safe.

The Sheriff also said her office will complete construction of East and West Patrol sub-stations by Summer 2017, and achieve national accreditation for the Bexar County Adult Detention Center by 2017.

“I never forget who I work for, and that’s you, the people of Bexar County.”
