The San Antonio chapter of the
Special Forces Association (Green Berets) will host its annual fund-raiser at
Dick’s Last Resort on the River Walk from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 16.
Tickets are $25 per person and
include all food, well drinks, beer, wine, live music for dancing and a silent
auction presented by Charity Auctions of Texas.
Dick’s Last Resort, known as
“the Rowdy of the River Walk,” has sponsored this annual event to benefit SFA
Chapter 15 since the early 1990s.
“This is our major fund-raiser of
the year, and it’s a chance for a great evening of food, fun and entertainment
at an unbeatable price,” said Chapter President Chuck Rose.
Proceeds support the activities of
Chapter 15 and its local charities, including the Green Beret Foundation, the
Wounded Warriors and Family Support Center at Fort Sam Houston, the Honors
Detachment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Boys and Girls Clubs of San
Antonio, Veterans of the Greater San Antonio Area, a local scholarship fund and
Save the Montagnard Project.
Tickets may be purchased from any
Chapter member or at the door. For more information, contact event chairman
Fred Solis at sfa.colonel@hotmail.com
or John Woodworth at john@charityauctionsoftexas.org.
