Community Advocates join the Fight vs. Hunger with "Yes We Can"

At this year's 18th Annual Cesar E. Chavez March for Justice you will have an opportunity to make a BIG difference in San Antonio by feeding families that are in need of food donations. Did you know that almost 40% of the those who receive aid at The San Antonio Food Bank are children under the age of 18! The number of people in our city who are going hungry on a daily basis is staggering!

 

I ask you to join me in The Yes We Can Campaign! I truly believe in my heart- there isn't a better city that knows how to give back to its community than San Antonio! Last year 5,000 pounds of food was raised, but we can do MUCH more! Starting this Tuesday, and up to the day of the march, the San Antonio Food Bank team will be ready to receive your food donations, which will make a huge impact on our goal of collecting and distributing 15,000 pounds of food in 2014. Please help us triple last years donations by getting involved in the following ways:
 

1. Those attending the march, Do Not Forget to bring your canned goods.
2. If you are a business, join the campaign & order Your Barrel & fill it up!
3. Universities, Colleges, and High Schools....join in on this worthy cause and make a difference!
