Republican County Judge switches to Democratic Party, 10-21

Bexar County Republican County Judge #11 Carlo Key has announced he is officially switching parties and will run for re-election as a Democrat. Dem. State Rep. Trey Martinez Fischer stated, "Today, San Antonio's Judge Carlo Key, a Republican County Court Judge, is the latest elected official to leave the Republican Party and join Texas Democrats."

 

Martinez Fischer also stated, "We want to personally welcome Judge Key to the Democratic Party and recognize his courage and thoughtfulness in making this decision. Judge Key has proven to be a fair and principled judge and we know that this decision was made with much thought and deliberation."
