Future of the Alamo & Alamo Plaza Panel Discussion, 9-19

Please mark your calendar for 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19th and join us at the University of Texas at San Antonio downtown campus for an enlightening town hall discussion about the future of the Alamo and Alamo Plaza

The San Antonio Express-News and the UTSA are bringing together distinguished experts and policy makers for a panel discussion to provide a thorough examination of the issue and answer questions from the audience on this topic.

The panel will include Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson, Mayor Julian Castro, San Antonio Conservation Society President Sue Ann Pemberton and historian Gary Foreman.

San Antonio Express-News columnist Gilbert Garcia will moderate the discussion.

We are looking forward to a lively conversation that will enhance public understanding of an important topic that faces San Antonio and Texas leaders who want to ensure that the Alamo retains its place as the city’s and state’s most treasured shrine.

The event in the Aula Canaria Room of the Buena Vista Building (Room 1.328) as UTSA’s downtown campus is open to the public and admission is free. Parking has been reserved in Lot D3. Admission is free.

We hope you will join us on Sept. 19. We request that you RSVP by sending an email to letters@express-news.net
Sincerely,
