Richard Cardenas announces for District 5 City Council Seat, 2-7

Experience, for a change… Richard Cardenas, candidate for District 5 to publically announce February 7th.

Local small businessman, Richard Cardenas, is set to announce his candidacy for San Antonio City Council District 5 on Thursday February 7, 2013 at 11 A.M., at the Progresso Community Center at Avenida Guadalupe, 1306 Guadalupe Street.

Richard is a lifelong resident of District 5, graduate of Lanier High School, member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, and a South Chamber of Commerce Board Member. He has a passion for his Westside community and the future of District 5.

Like many citizens in his neighborhood, Richard is concerned about the serious lack of leadership and missing representation in the District. "It’s time that we put experience in City Hall. Our community has real issues and needs real solutions. District 5 must have a leader who is committed to getting the job done. "

With a background in marketing, promotion, and general management, Richard has the dynamic creative ability to bring people together to build consensus and make things happen. "We need to sit the stakeholders of this community at the kitchen table and begin the task of creating positive energy to help bring a better quality of life to the families and businesses of District 5."

Richard chose to make his announcement in front of the mural of Our Lady of Guadalupe, one of the crown jewels of the Westside, and a fitting place to begin weaving together a new and Revived District 5!
