Dolores Huerta, Co-Founder, with Cesar E. Chavez, of the United Farm Workers Union will be the featured speaker at a luncheon on Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Guadalupe Center’s Progresso Hall. Ms. Huerta has been and continues to be an icon in the labor movement. Ms. Huerta continues to travel on a national and international level, as a strong advocate who continues the fight for justice and dignity on behalf of immigrant, civil, human, equality and worker’s rights.

Ms. Huerta is one of the most famous Latina women in the country and thru the Dolores Huerta Foundation continues to develop community leaders to help the working poor, immigrants, women and youth. In May of this year she was the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, presented to her by President Barack Obama.

Ms. Huerta will present remarks on her historic life and her continuing work.
