Anna Weisz Rado, an 83-year-old survivor of the Auschwitz Death Camp spoke about her holocaust experiences to a Bible Class @ Northwest Church of Christ, June 10th.
Anna, her older sister, one brother and sister-in-law immigrated to the United States and eventually to San Antonio in 1957. She is the mother of two, the grandmother of five and one great grandchild is on the way.
She recounted her journey from Rajka Hungary as a 14-year-old to the 5-month ordeal in the concentration camp, back to Hungary under Communist rule and an additonal 6 months in a prison for trying to escape Communist rule in Hungary.
Christina Forsythe, Director of the Holocaust Memorial Museum at the Jewish Fereration of San Antonio (Community Center) off Wurzbach & Military Drive accompanied her to the church.
