Dear Friends,
The month of December is, naturally, the most contemplative time of the year. We reflect on the year that was - the highs, the lows and the in-betweens - and we prepare for the exhilaration of a clean slate - a time of new beginnings, reboots, and fresh chapters.
Personally, I have many great memories from the year 2011. The most indelible one however occurred in June as I completed my last day - of my final term - on City Council. My wife and three children escorted me off the dais that morning as we walked away from Council Chambers for the final time. A moment I will not soon forget.
As we prepare for 2012, the anticipation of a new opportunity in public service gives me a great deal of optimism. As you know, our campaign for State Representative began in earnest this summer, and we haven't looked back since. We'll knock on thousands of doors in the coming months because we know that votes aren't given, they're earned.
I hope that your 2011 was filled with moments to cherish and that your aspirations for 2012 are well within reach. From my family to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
