State Senator Jeff Wentworth (photo) announces re-election bid
“I am a fighter for my constituents, who are my bosses,” said Wentworth. “I am running for re-election to continue to fight for our district and to preserve the Texas way of life of conservative freedoms with no state income tax.”
Wentworth cited local jobs, water availability, public and higher education, highway funding, healthcare, border security, and protection of conservative values as part of the core of his legislative service in Senate District 25 that stretches between Bexar County and Travis County and includes nearly one million Texans.
In his announcement for re-election, Wentworth cited the need for more transparency in state government. He currently chairs the Texas Senate’s Select Committee on Open Government and serves on the Senate Committees on Administration; Higher Education; Intergovernmental Relations; Redistricting; and Transportation and Homeland Security.
