Joe Farias 5K Run, June 11th.
Family and friends and volunteers of the south side community and the Bexar County Emergency Scene Rehab will take part in the 2nd annual Farias 5K and kids run. A health and wellness fair is also set to take place after the run.
The event kicks off at Harlandale Memorial Stadium, located at 4002 Roosevelt Avenue, with on-site registration scheduled at 6:45 a.m. until 8:00 a.m.
Entry fees for the 5K Run & Fitness Walk is $20 until June 10; $25 on race day. The 400 Meter Kids Run will only cost $5 per child.
The 400 Meter Kids Run will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by the 5K Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m.
Awards and recognition will be given for: the top male and female 5K winners, top male and female age-group winner (ages 12-22, ages 23-33, ages 34-44, etc.) and top male and female masters (ages 55+).

All proceeds provide funds for the Bexar County Emergency Scene Rehab (BCESR). BCESR is a 501 © 3 non-profit organization used on emergency scenes to provide emergency personnel with hydration, food, shelter, onsite medical monitoring and any other duties given to them by the onsite Incident Commander. BCESR responds to requests from any emergency department in the 12 county Alamo Area Council of Governments region.
