Soapy Dollar, the Chairman of the San Antonio National Day of Prayer, spearheaded the 26th annual event during the lunch hour and prayed for San Antonio and the nation.
Ray Jones lead the Community Bible Church Praise Choir and Orchestra. The pastors leading prayer included Charles Flowers of Faith Outreach Center, Randy Garcia of Fortress Church, Marc Longoria of My Father's House, John Valenzuela of Community Bible Church, Pastor Draper of Maranatha Bible Church, and Gerald Ripley of Abundant Life Church.
Students from Antioch Christian Academy, Providence High School, Castle Hills First Baptist School, San Antonio Christian School, Concordia Lutheran School, and St. Thomas Episcopal School publicly read Scriptures before each prayer.
