SA Hispanic Chamber to host an Immigration Workshop, 3-8

Hispanic Chamber and SA Restaurant Assn. to hold federal employment workshop
The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the San Antonio Restaurant Association will hold a special I-9 Employment Eligibility Workshop on Tuesday, March 8 at 8:30 a.m., at Pearl Studio, 200 E. Grayson Street.

“We have decided to help local businesses have the tools necessary given the government’s recent crackdown on South Texas businesses accused of employing undocumented workers,” said Hispanic Chamber President & CEO Ramiro A. Cavazos. “It is important that we do all that we can to help San Antonio’s businesses and workers grow our economy.”

The Hispanic Chamber and the Restaurant Association share the community’s concern on the potential negative impact poorly administered immigration laws have on businesses and their families. “We want business leaders to have this critical information available so that they can make the best decisions possible,” Cavazos said.

Cost to chamber members is $10 and $20 for future members. The public is invited to attend.
