33rd CineFestival Premio Mesquite Awards Dinner, hosted by actor (Harlandale HS graduate) Jesse Borrego, February 5th.

Jesse Borrego said, “San Antonio’s 2020 is on the way and many things can be done before the year 2020.” Panels had to review over 100 entries and became proud to present 44 of the finest independent films that celebrate the scope of diversity of the Latino experience.

This year’s theme of San Antonio’s GCAC CineFestival 2011 was Aztaln in Focus: Roots, Raza, and Revolution which captures the spirit of resistance reflected many of these amazing films brought into the festival.
