Hispanic Chamber to host U.S. Senator leading immigration debate

The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will host U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, during a Town Hall Luncheon on national issues impacting San Antonio on Friday, February 25th @ noon, at Pearl Stable.

“Senator Graham is a national leader on issues of great importance to our business community,” said Hispanic Chamber President & CEO Ramiro A. Cavazos. “The Senator has agreed to visit San Antonio and have the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce bring an audience of civic and business leaders together to discuss immigration reform, job creation, health care, and his take on the upcoming 2012 president election.”

The Hispanic Chamber is leading the call for immigration reform in San Antonio. U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham and Charles Schumer of New York are leading the effort, in Washington, D.C.

Senator Graham serves on the following U.S. Senate Committees:

· Aging
· Appropriations
· Armed Services
· Budget
· Judiciary

“We work hard every day to level the playing field and to challenge the status quo if new ideas for moving our community forward are left to chance by others. This is our time for San Antonio to take center stage on growing our American economy, “Cavazos said.
