Joe Solis believes in social media and virtual connection, but it’s most effective used in conjunction with face-to-face media. That, he says, is the secret of the Latino Breakfast Club, a virtual no-charge organization that now boasts 2,300 members with monthly networking and speaker mixers.

LBC will celebrate its third anniversary breakfast on Tuesday Dec. 22 at Cha-Cha’s restaurant, 2026 Babcock.

Special speaker for the third anniversary breakfast is Ricardo Romo, University of Texas at San Antonio president. Solis says it is an extreme honor to have the university leader address the membership.

“He took the idea of UTSA and grew it into something that matters to our community ... that’s what we hope to do. He’s a people-person. People make the difference,” Solis says.
